Dialogue in Video Games is one of our big passions about getting right. The Quiet Things is of course a real story where the actors portray real people, so authentic casting is very important to us for this project. Kirsty Gillmore is our casting and voice director for the game. Now...in case you were wondering who you can hear in the game, here are all our wonderful actors:
Alice Johnson
Voiced by Emily Burnett
We follow the life of Alice in the game, from the age of 8-18. Emily plays Alice from when she is a teenager through to the end of the game.
Young Alice
Voiced by Elsie Oliver
We follow the life of Alice in the game, from the age of 8-18. Elsie is the first voice we hear as Alice in the game, and plays her as a child through her early years around the age of 8-10.
Simon Johnson
Voiced by Dave Jones
Simon Johnson is the father of Alice. Simon struggles with grief and raising a young family in the wreckage left behind by cancer. As the head of the household, it's his way or the highway.
Sophie Johnson
Voiced by Rosina Aichner
Sophie is the second wife of Simon Johnson and joins the family in a time of loss and confusion. She loves tarot cards and spirituality.
Patrick Thomas
Voiced by Iestyn Arwel
Patrick meets Alice at the age of 15 when he and his wife Carly take her in. He becomes her foster father, solidifying their bond as a family unit, but what secrets do they keep?
Carly Thomas
Voiced by Emma-Jane Goodwin
Carly is the wife to Patrick, and becomes the foster mother to Alice when they take her in at the age of 15. They struggle to find their way, as a family hiding secrets.
Lizzy Hughes
Voiced by Amina Koroma
Lizzy is Alice's best friend in school, as they navigate the highs and lows of teenage life together.
Nicole
Voiced by Kimberley Capero
Nicole is Alice's friend at school and persuades her own family to take Alice in after she is concerned about Alice's home life.
Michelle
Voiced by Lisa Graydon
A trained counsellor, Michelle has regular sessions with Alice throughout her teenage years and tries to work with Alice through feelings of self harm, depression, and get to the bottom of the cause.
Miss Smith
Voiced by Elsie Lovelock
Miss Smith is Alice's English teacher and Head of Year. As time goes by Alice becomes more trouble at school and Miss Smith tries to understand what is going on behind closed doors.
DC Wainwright
Voiced by Anthony Howell
DC Wainwright works for the local police force and becomes involved with Alice after being assigned to deal with a report made by a concerned parent...
Janet Hillier
Voiced by Leah Marks
Janet is Alice's social worker for many years, from initial assessments, to navigating the care system and placements.
Pamela Hughes
Voiced by Karen Bryson
Pam is Lizzy's Step Mum, who Lizzy and Alice live with for a time. She tries to help Alice whilst also protecting her own family unit.
Matt Daniels
Voiced by Zac Lowe-McAlley
A 16 year old, living in emergency accommodation, who bonds with Alice over a shared love of games and music.
Ryan Cook
Voiced by Brandon Bendell
We meet Ryan shortly after he is released from prison, having to be housed in emergency accommodation with nowhere else to go.
